Advanced AS/400 or AS/36 Dial-In and
Serial Communication Terminal Emulation
Description
BOSaNOVA Access provides a low-cost solution for distributing AS/400
and System/3x sessions to remote PC users over Async lines. Remote users receive host
sessions via standard serial connections, such as normal dial-in telephone lines,
X.25, ISDN, or locally with null modem cables to serial ports. (Click here for diagram of BOSaNOVA Access)
One PC directly attached to the host (via Twinax) is
converted into a Gateway. This expandable system allows unlimited remote users access to
the host. A maximum of 18 concurrent remote users utilizing a total of 35 host sessions
simultaneously can be configured. Each remote user can access up to 7 simultaneous
sessions. An extensive array of security and monitoring functions assures complete control
of the system.
The BOSaNOVA Access Gateway itself can also use one of
the available sessions as a local AS/400 or S/36 display station, increasing it's
usefulness even more. This local session can be used any time, even when remote
users are connected. In effect, you are getting another local display station at no
cost.
