What's the Plus in Native Plus?

Native Plus is unique because in addition to being IBM-compatible, it provides solutions to problems common with other Twinax cards on the market.

The Problem ?

Noisy Twinax lines: "If my terminals work over my Twinax and twisted pair lines, why won't my emulation cards work?"

The Solution !

Most Twinax cards fail under difficult Twinax line conditions. Native Plus is extremely "fault tolerant" and will function well where other IBM-compatible Twinax cards fail.

The Problem ?

Installation and setup is too difficult: "Why do I have to configure my CMOS, memory manager and Windows INI files just to use a Twinax card?"

The Solution !

Other Twinax cards require the use of a memory segment and IRQ, the source of many frustrating hardware conflicts. Native Plus can be installed and run without reserving a memory segment and without using an IRQ, resulting in the simplest setup possible.

The Problem ?

Lack of Windows resources: "Since I installed my Twinax card, I can't open as many applications in Windows."

The Solution !

Because other Twinax cards require the use of a memory segment critical to efficient Windows operation, Windows programs execute more slowly and run out of system resources faster. Native Plus eliminates this troublesome Windows bottleneck.

The Problem ?

Twinax cards don't support some fast PCs: "I don't understand why my trusted Twinax card won't work on my new Pentium PC."

The Solution !

Native Plus functions perfectly even with the fastest PCs.

The Problem ?

File transfers are too slow: "I wish there was a way to speed up my file transfers."

The Solution !

The unique hardware design of Native Plus allows it to perform standard file transfers and certain other PC-host operations significantly faster than other Twinax cards can.

The Problem ?

Twinax line problems are difficult to diagnose: "I've spent two hours checking and I still don't know why I can't get the emulation running."

The Solution !

Native Plus includes two Twinax diagnostic utilities:

bullet

TASC (Twinax Address Status Checker) for identifying Twinax line address usage.  Click here to view a Screen shot of TASC (8313 bytes).

bullet

TWILA (Twinax Line Analyzer) for identifying connected devices, indicating address conflicts, and detecting Twinax line quality problems

Each utility is supplied in DOS and Windows versions.
