Query Language Examples

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. 

For example:

Ethernet terminal

finds documents containing 'ethernet' or 'terminal'

Ethernet or terminal

same as above

Ethernet and terminal

finds documents containing both '

Ethernet not terminal

finds documents containing 'ethernet' but not 'terminal'

(Ethernet not terminal) and AS400

finds documents containing 'AS400', plus 'ethernet' but not 'terminal'

web*

finds documents containing words starting with 'web'
