SYMBOL

warehouse imageCordless Scanning brings a new level of flexibility and productivity to applications using automatic data collection. Similar to the impact of cordless telephones in consumer markets, the freedom of cordless scanning expands the applications for scanning barcodes by taking the scanner to the job rather than taking the job to the scanner.

The cordless ST3470 is designed to be easy to use and is based on a strong product family background renown for high quality products. The ST3470 reads out to 7 inches with larger codes. The ST2070 host interface base is also backed by a solid reputation for highly programmable options and a broad suite of supported terminal interfaces. Applications

ST3470 Series Scanners The ST3470 cordless scanner addresses the needs of many applications. It is designed for tough industrial use, such as on loading docks, where shipping and receiving of materials requires the freedom to move around. The cordless scanner is also ideal for manufacturing applications, such as work-in-process, where safety may be an issue. Eliminating the cables prevents the cord from getting entangled in machinery and equipment, thus avoiding the chance of an accident. Other applications include interfacing to RF LAN based terminals mounted on forklift trucks, tool crib management, asset tracking, inventory control, and point-of-sale terminals.

Features and Benefits

bulletMultiple Scanner Support
Each base unit supports up to 9 scanners simultaneously. This increases productivity and flexibility without the added costs of additional bases and terminals.
bulletApplication Work Groups
Supports up to 9 application work groups on a single base. This extremely powerful feature increases the number of jobs supported by a terminal, and allows you to easily adjust to changing workloads.
bulletBroad Range Coverage
Scanner coverage of up to 7850 square feet (730 square meters) in open air environments increases mobility and productivity by allowing the scanner to be taken to the job, rather than taking the job to the scanner.
bulletEliminates Cables
Improves safety conditions by avoiding accidents and injury as a result of cables becoming entangled in equipment and machinery.
bulletUnique Battery Design
Removable batteries that are recharged by plugging into a simple 120 volt wall outlet, and operate through the entire work day.
bulletRugged Design
Water & dust resistant to IP-54 rating.
bulletState of the Art Radio Technology
Robust license-free system delivers reliable and snappy, error-free communication.
