1970 proudly delivers the T3016 Industrial Ink Jet—a new breed of
printer for the year 2000. The T3016 is the first ever ink jet to handle tractor forms and
single sheets at a print speed of 2000 CPS (16 pages per minute) for less than 1/3 of a
penny per page. Operating at a whisper quiet 49 dB(A), the T3016 is 2-3 times faster than
the fastest SIDM printers!
This 136-column printer is ideal as a general-purpose
office printer or for the production of bar code labels, invoices, retail tags and reports
at a hefty workload of up to 60,000 pages per month. With three input tractors on line*,
this rugged innovation achieves throughput speeds to 1000 pages per hour and handles a
wide range of media from recycled paper to heavy stock. The T3016’s 40 million
character ink cartridge utilizes fast-drying, permanent oil-based ink and installs quickly
and easily.
